Employment & Volunteer Opportunities
Q Healing’s work is rooted in community, relationships, and the knowledge carried by our Elders and Knowledge Keepers. Throughout the year, we offer paid contract, Knowledge Keeper, and volunteer opportunities supporting Secwépemc language revitalization, land-based learning, cultural programming, food sovereignty, traditional plant and medicine knowledge, and community gatherings. We welcome people who bring relevant skills, knowledge, and experience, as well as those who simply want to contribute their time and learn through participation. Opportunities vary throughout the year and may include virtual, community-based, and on-the-land activities across Secwépemc territory.

Secwepmcstin Language Assistant
We are seeking a Secwepemctsín Language Assistant to support our Speaking the Language of the Land program. This part-time contract position will work closely with Secwépemc Elders, Knowledge Keepers, language speakers, and the program team to support language revitalization through online classes, curriculum development, community events, knowledge interviews, and on-the-land language camps.

Knowledge Keepers
​We are inviting Secwépemc Elders, fluent speakers, and Knowledge Keepers to support our Speaking the Language of the Land program through on-the-land language camps, Zoom language classes, and sharing traditional plant and medicine knowledge. Honoraria are provided, with gas cards available for travel to in-person activities. Contact info@qhealing.ca to participate. Open until filled November 28, 2026.

​Volunteers, Land Stewards & Workshop Facilitators
We welcome community volunteers, land stewards, and workshop facilitators to support Q Healing’s land-based and community programming. Opportunities may include land stewardship, gardens and traditional plants, language camps, youth and family activities, community gatherings, food preparation, seasonal projects, and facilitating workshops based on your skills or knowledge. Sovereignty, Language Revitalization & Family Healing
​Our work begins with the understanding that sovereignty is lived through language, land, culture, ceremony, and strong families. Q Healing creates opportunities for Secwépemc families to reconnect with Secwepemctsín, learn alongside Elders and Knowledge Keepers, return to land-based practices, and strengthen the relationships that carry knowledge from one generation to the next.
