About the event

The Qweqwetsin Family & Healing Lodge Society (Q Healing) is honoured to lead Healing the Next Generation — a land-based, trauma-informed youth program rooted in Indigenous ceremony, cultural identity, and community care. This initiative was developed in response to urgent needs faced by Indigenous youth across Secwepemc territory and beyond: intergenerational trauma, disconnection from land and language, lack of safe cultural spaces, and increasing mental health challenges in the wake of Residential School legacies, climate crises, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

This program offers a powerful return to land, ceremony, and ancestral teachings. Youth aged 12 to 29 will participate in seasonal sessions, guided by Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and Cultural Mentors, to restore connection — to the land, to spirit, to language, and to themselves.
