Qweqwetsin Family & Healing Lodge Society

Qweqwetsin Family & Healing Lodge Society (Q Healing) is an Indigenous-led non-profit with a provincial mandate. “Qweqwetsin” means “to pray together” in the Secwepemc language, and prayer is at the heart of all we do.

Our mission is to relieve poverty through healing by providing culturally grounded programs that strengthen families, empower youth, and restore balance and connection to employment.

We offer ceremony, land-based education, outdoor skills training, and counselling to help families and youth reconnect with culture, identity, and the land. Q Healing currently hosts healing ceremonies and community events in Secwepemc Territory and Vancouver. Beginning in early 2026, we will expand to include sweat lodge ceremonies, healing circles, and transitional supports, along with a new food forest and healing garden at Simpcw First Nation. Youth participants will learn survival skills, outdoor education, and traditional plant knowledge while developing leadership and resilience through mentorship with Elders and guides. With culturally safe counselling and family supports, we help families heal and grow together.

Looking ahead, we are working toward creating a permanent Indigenous Healing Lodge on Secwepemc Territory. This capital campaign will allow us to expand our impact with a dedicated cultural and residential centre. While this long-term vision unfolds, our focus remains on strengthening the ceremonies, land-based learning, and youth leadership programs that are already transforming lives across our communities.
